Hello! So nice to see you. I'm delighted you stopped by.
Longoland was born in 2001 as a catch all for creative pursuits by, me, Joshua Ben Longo. While I have dipped my toes in many creative industries, one thing that has remained constant is my love of drawing, graphic t-shirts and their the ability to bring people together whether it be through music, subcultures, or your favorite local deli. As someone who prided himself on the knowledge of obscure bands, underground comics, or the sharing of places I visited, when a stranger stops me to talk about a shirt I'm wearing there is instantly a sense of community and camaraderie. It's a shared experience, a way to talk to a stranger on the check out line at the grocery store, a way to bring people together even for just a moment.
Each t-shirt has an origin story and if you have read this far, (congratulations you defied statistical expectations of the average attention span) I recommend reading the history behind the shirts. They all come from a place of love and quite possibly some shared history.
