MY wife and I eloped on the rocks of Ogonquit Maine during a Nor'Easter in late October in 2011. She would visit during the summer months growing up as many did when living in western Massachusetts. We thought we would retire here, but after Covid changed literally everything we picked up and moved to Portland Maine to be closer to friends and family. We bought a run down Italianate house from the 1860s and have been renovating it ever since. Portland, though small in population has some of the best restaurants and food scenes in the country. If you ever find yourself in Maine look for the first wooden shack you find on the side of the road and pick yourself up a lobster, clams, oysters and a pilsner.
