Pizza Box

Growing up in New Jersey, when friends or family visited you can guarantee a pizza along with mussels in Marinara, zeppole, and roughly chopped iceberg salad with tomatoes, onions, olives and a handful of pepperoncini would be delivered shortly. There were more pizza places in our town than any other kind of food, so much so that some extended family owned a shop called Lovey's on the main boulevard. Pizza is more than food, it is intertwined with memories of growing up in a culture that was rich in authentic food. It is part of my history. This tshirt is for Longo, Nardi, DeFelice, Lamotta, and all the other kids I used run around and cause trouble with.
